NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Aug. 27, 2020 – Mane ’n Tail will return to Old Salem Farm to present the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, a highlight event Saturday, Sept. 12, during Week I of the Old Salem Farm September Fall Horse Shows. The USEF-rated Old Salem Farm September Fall Horse Show will run Sept. 8-13, 15-19 and 23-27 and will host hunters, equitation and exciting show jumping action from the finest national and international horses and athletes.

“We welcome back Mane ‘n Tail to the Old Salem Farm September Fall Horse Shows,” said Scott Hakim, president of Old Salem Farm. “Their products are fantastic and their presence raises the level of excitement. We are so grateful to have them participate this fall.”

For more than 40 years, the Mane ‘n Tail brand has set the standard for the ultimate in equine grooming products. The products were developed on the Katzev family farm in rural New Jersey. Their Original Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner were created with competition horses in mind but the products also work for humans. They have been so popular with consumers that their parent company, Straight Arrow, developed an extensive line for consumer use. To this day, the products are used by both humans and horses. The line has expanded to include multiple grooming, finishing, first- aid, treatment and canine products.

“We are excited here at Mane ‘n Tail to sponsor the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby at the Old Salem September Fall Horse Show,” said Devon B. Katzev, president of Straight Arrow Products, Inc., the makers of the Original Mane ‘n Tail. “It is our second year supporting the Old Salem shows and we are proud to be back.”
