What a day for #TeamOSF at @usequestrian #ponyfinals. @emmahakim01 and Empire’s Aslan were 1st in the 2020 medium green under saddle and 10th in the model. On to the jumping phase tomorrow! Congrats to this pair and everyone else competing this week!

Old Salem's own is taking on @usequestrian #PonyFinals. @emmahakim01 rode Empire’s Aslan ‘Munchkin’ and placed 8th in a huge group of competitive medium ponies and was 2nd in the hack at the Kentucky Summer Classic. Thanks to our whole team at #OldSalemFarm and @jillshulman from @back_country_farm for stepping in to help us this past week.

This week you'll find her showing Empire’s Aslan owned by @amchilcote in the 2020 medium green ponies. She will also be riding Clovermeade Hush Bunny in the small greens for @rabbithillfarm and Clovermeade Magical in the medium greens also for #RabbitHillFarm.

It's Friday and you know what that means. This week's #FitnessFriday gridwork guide focuses on responsiveness and readiness.

The goal is to have your horse lengthen to cover the oxer, then shorten for the approach to the vertical. Remember to start with smaller jumps and only build when you and your horse are confident in the exercise. Also make sure to adjust the length of the exercise accordingly!
